I love this shoe and want it in every color. It has excellent arch support and is super comfortable, super adjustable. I have had 3 stress fractures in my feet and have a very difficult time finding anything other than running shoes that I can wear. This shoe works for me, and looks great with jeans too.
I Was SO Wrong… Okay… so I bought these shoes along with 3 other pair a few weeks ago. Shipping was extra speedy, I opened the box, looked at them and tried them on. Fit was perfect, but I thought they were a bit grungy looking with scratches all over them, possibly as if they had been ‘handled’ by someone else or something. I was not happy and returned them. Two weeks later, I kept thinking about these shoes… how cute they were and how nicely they fit… SO, I ordered them again, yesterday! I got them today, tried them on and they fit perfect again. Same markings on the shoes as if they were a bit ‘distressed’ or something. I’ve come to the conclusion that was the intention when the shoes were made! I have been wearing them without socks for a few hours now and I absolutely adore them! I’m glad I decided to give them another try… if what everyone says is true, they will be a blessing to me in a few weeks when I am walking in the parks at Walt Disney World. Thank you once again, Zappos for being such a wonderful company!
This is my second pair of Keen Bronx shoes (I now have a pair in brown and a pair in black). I am planning on purchasing more Keen shoes in the near future. I am a teacher, therefore, I am on my feet daily - between walking the halls, outside duty, lunch duty, etc I spend a LOT of time on my feet on cement. The toe room in the Keen Alameda Laptop bag is outstanding - I do not get cramps in my feet or legs from all the standing/walking. I don’t wear ALL the other shoes I own and am considering giving them away and only keeping the Keen’s!
Runs short even for Keens - If I decide to keep this shoe, I will need to re-order it in a larger size. I’ve never worn a size 9!! My other Keens are 8 (2005 Monterey) and 8.5 (2005/6 Astoria and Providence boot). All three work with heavy socks and medium socks (even thin socks for Astoria and barefoot for Monterey). And all the Keens I’ve tried on but haven’t purchased/kept have been 8’s or 8.5’s. But the 8.5 Bronx feels good only with thin socks; it’s too narrow, too short (and arch feels like it’s on the outside and too close to heel) with heavy socks. And the outside, foremost eyelet on my larger foot seems to press on it. There’s not as much depth in the shoe between the insole and the top of the toe box. Also, this shoe seems narrower than other Keens (although not as much as the Melbourne or Sydney). But it truly is comfortable with thinner socks. Keen Lameda Bag for Laptops I would like the tongue to be a little wider. My biggest problem is that my socks get damp after wearing Keen shoes (not sandals) for just a couple of hours. I keep trying to find a pair that doesn’t happen with. The Providence boots and the Boston seem to be the worst for that. It makes for cold feet.
Keen Bronx are nifty keen I love these shoes- comfy, waterproof, stylish, comfy, sturdy, and did I mention comfy? All Keens are little short and I have to order a 1/2 size up or they hit my toes, and these are no exception. For that reason I’ve marked them true to size.
Keen Shoes are the Best! This is my third pair of Keen shoes. I love them. The fit is excellent; it’s like they are custom-molded for my feet. They never need break-in, and are comfortable for all-day wear, whether you’re standing all day, or walking all day. The only issue I’ve ever had is with the fit, which seems inconsistent. I ordered the Bronx a half-size larger than my normal size (taking the advice of other reviewers), and that worked great. But I also have the Targee model, and for that I had to order one-and-a-half sizes larger than normal. Luckily, Zappos.com offers the free shipping both ways, so it wasn’t a problem to exchange them until I had the right size.
I’m not one for writing reviews, however, if I can help those who are suffering as badly as I have for the last year from Plantar Fasciitis then read on. I have had to wear an orthotic in my Asics for the last 6+ months. The Asics provide a lot of comfort and support but I still needed more support. I don’t need to wear an orthotics with the Keen Bronx. I can walk/hike in the Keens for several hours without pain. They are so comfortable and look great as well. I wear a nine but took the advice of other reviews and purchased a full size up and they fit perfectly, and that is wearing a running sock. I was worried that a 10 (yikes!) would make my feet look too big, but they didn’t. Even if they did, I wouldn’t care, when you’re in pain all you care about is getting rid of it. Great arch support/comfort/style, look at these shoes as a great piece of gear/investment. BTW I got the Ocean/Cement and it is definitely darker than what you see on the internet. Hope this helps.
Great shoe for Morton’s Neuroma! I was recently diagnosed with Morton’s Neuroma, a painful nerve condition between the toes/ball of foot. My doctor recommended shoes with a wide toe box. I immediately thought of Keens, though I’d never owned a pair. I just got them today (actually ordered two pairs, these and the Portolas). What a comfortable shoe “right out of the box” as others have said. I tried on a few sizes in the stores and actually found that I needed a half size smaller than I usually wear. I think I might be alone on this, since most seem to need a size larger. They are a bit on the roundish, clunkyish side, but the comfort outweighs any cons about the look. Friends have actually told me my feet look smaller in them. If you have any foot problems, this is the shoe for you. I am also a teacher and can’t wait to see how good my feet feel after a day in my comfy Keens!
I have flat feet and normally wear prescription orthotics. But this shoe has such a good arch that I don’t need to wear the orthotics with them. A friend has been telling me for years to get these shoes, since I was always complaining about my difficulty finding comfortable shoes that weren’t sneakers. I’m glad I finally did. The arch support combined with the cushy sole and roomy toebox make these shoes among the most comfortable I have ever worn.
Be careful! First off let me say that I love my Dansko clogs. I can stand all day and into the night and my feet never hurt. My foot turned to the side in them and broke two bones. Probably not too good for fast walking. I can’t wear them until my foot heals so I bought Dansko Folly and I love them.
Feet feel fabulous in these Dansko Professional Oiled! My other pair of clogs is the Dansko Sonja which is too wide for my feet. The Professional Oiled is the perfect width! Being a dentist, wearing these comfortable, lightweight shoes help me to feel a bit more energetic at the end of the day. I would highly recommend these excellent shoes!
Best Ever! The first time I tried on Danskos I was not sure about them, they were unlike any other shoe I had ever tried on before. I always thought that comfort equals soft, cushy footbed. This footbed is not soft, so I didn’t think they would be comfortable, but I was so wrong! These are my favorite pair of shoes… Ever! I liked the gray felt ones so much that I had to get them in brown also, (working on getting many more colors!). They are well worth the investment. I used to only wear shoes when I left the house, but these shoes make my feet feel so good that I wear them all day inside the house, and it’s more comfortable than going barefoot. Bottom line; get a pair (or 4… or 5…).
Very comfortable, great arch support, feel the back makes it easier to walk in the regular clogs. Only negative would be the way the back is finished- there are edges around the heel that make it impossible to wear without a sock or even a little heaver sock. Would be much better if the inside of the heel were lined for a smooth finish.
